Center for Creativity Youth Poetry & Collage Project

The Center for Creativity is excited to offer a new FREE Poetry & Collage Project for middle and high school students in San Mateo County. This unique program invites students to explore creative expression through both writing and visual art, guided by accomplished poets and artists.

This project includes hands-on workshops led by acclaimed local poet laureates, Antonio Lopez, who is the San Mateo County Poet Laureate and Chloe Chou, who was the 2025 California Youth Poet Laureate. There will be a public poetry reading at the Redwood City Downtown Library and a month-long exhibition of student work. This is a great opportunity for students who love art, writing—or are just curious to try something new.
